What are the precautions for plastic hot press machines during production?

Plastic hot press machines must strictly comply with safety operating procedures during production. The following are key precautions:

1. Equipment inspection

Check whether the safety devices (including emergency stop buttons and photoelectric protection devices, etc.) are operating normally, and whether the pressure of the pressure system meets the standard requirements.

Ensure that the temperature setting of the heating system matches the material specifications to avoid damage to material properties due to excessive temperature

Ensure smooth cooling circulation to prevent equipment overheating.

2. Environment and Protection

Timely remove debris from the work area to ensure the continuous and normal operation of the ventilation system, effectively avoiding the retention of harmful gases.

Operators are required to wear safety helmets, heat-resistant gloves, goggles, protective clothing, dust masks or gas masks, safety shoes/anti smashing and anti puncture shoes, high-temperature resistant gloves or chemical resistant gloves to avoid high temperature burns or exposure to chemical substances.

3. Material and process control

① Understand the basic process requirements of the pressed product (such as temperature, pressure, time parameters), and be able to set them correctly according to the process sheet or instructions.

② Understand the basic characteristics and potential hazards (such as flammability, volatile gases) of the substrate (such as wood, board, composite materials) and auxiliary materials (such as adhesives, release agents) used

4. Important safety warnings

① High temperature burns are the main risk of hot press operation! Always remain vigilant, and use heat-resistant gloves and maintain a safe distance when handling or approaching hot press plates, hot workpieces, or hot press molds.

② Pressure danger! It is strictly prohibited to conduct any inspection, maintenance, or attempt to open the pressure plate while the equipment is under pressure. It must be confirmed that the compression system has fully returned to its original position and power has been disconnected.

③ Follow the lock up listing procedure! Before carrying out maintenance, upkeep, cleaning of stuck materials, and other operations that require entry into the equipment or contact with moving parts, the "locking/tagging" procedure must be strictly followed.

④ Keep the work area clean: promptly clean up the oil stains, debris, and foreign objects generated by processing products inside the equipment to prevent equipment abnormalities. Materials should not be stacked on the equipment workbench, and the working area of the equipment should be kept clean and tidy.

Familiar with emergency stop devices: Understand and ensure quick access to all emergency stop button positions.

5. Qualification requirements for operators

① At least 18 years old, in good health, without any physiological or psychological disorders that hinder the operation of the hot press machine (such as fear of heights, color blindness, severe hearing impairment, epilepsy, diseases that affect hand flexibility, etc.), must pass the entry physical examination.

② Have a basic cultural level, able to understand operating procedures, safety warning signs, and equipment manuals.

③ Serious and responsible work attitude, with good safety awareness and risk prediction ability.
